I was gifted a 1961 Mother's Encyclopedia when I was pregnant with my first child. I started drawing the illustration of a  definition each time I came into the studio. I was fascinated by the language of the copy and the ease of the images. I wanted to loosen up and gain some of that freedom in my lines.
